Just a reminder, the member level census requirements went into effect on Illinois based 51+ groups received after July 1, 2016. This requirement will roll-out across the nation on September 1, 2016. See below for more details or contact me if you have questions, thanks.
UnitedHealthcare will begin requiring additional information on a group census in order to quote fully insured business with 51-350 eligible employees of no longer requiring employee medical applications in this segment by early 2017. (non-adjusted community rated) in the central Illinois market. We are requiring member level data (both employees and dependents) including first name, last name, date of birth, and home ZIP code for quotes. This additional information will allow underwriting to more accurately rate the business and the probability
This requirement goes into effect on any new 51+ submissions received on or after July 1, 2016. Please cascade to your support team and anyone else who handles group submissions in this segment.
Note - RFP’s that do not include the member level data listed above will be pended until the information is received. Medical applications will still be required in this segment for the time being and will be re-evaluated in early 2017.
